Hit and Run Defendant Sentenced in Fatal Crash – Given 26 Years in Prison
A Northern Nevada man who hit a cyclist on Eastlake Blvd in Washoe County has been sentenced to 26 years in prison. Travis Smith previously pled guilty to Duty to Stop at the Scene of a Crash Involving Death and Reckless Driving, Resulting in Death. Smith was set by the court to be eligible for parole after a minimum of 8 years has been served.
