Meet Your DA – Dylan V. Frehner

Dylan V. Frehner was appointed as District Attorney by the Lincoln County Board of County Commissioners in September 2018 and was then elected as District Attorney in November 2018.

Dylan grew up in Lincoln County and graduated from Lincoln County High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2000. Dylan received his Juris Doctorate in 2004 from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Dylan returned to rural Nevada in 2004 to work as a law clerk for the Honorable Dan L. Papez and Steven L. Dobrescu of the Seventh Judicial District Court of the State of Nevada serving White Pine, Lincoln and Eureka Counties. After clerking in the Seventh District, Dylan knew he wanted to stay in rural Nevada to practice law. In 2005, Dylan was hired as Lincoln County Deputy District Attorney and managed the civil department for the office. In 2008, Dylan opened his own law firm in Pioche, Nevada and dedicated 10 years to providing quality legal services to the residents of Lincoln County. As part of his private practice, Dylan served as the

contracted Lincoln County Public Defender from 2011-2018, and also represented multiple County boards and entities.

Dylan loves working and communicating with people throughout Lincoln County to come up with creative solutions to the problems facing the County and its residents. Outside of the office, Dylan enjoys spending time with his family, working in and around his home, participating in choir and drama productions, and many other community activities. Dylan is a lifelong Nevada resident and he is honored to be able to represent and serve the residents of Lincoln County as their elected District Attorney.
