Sentencing in 2023 Murder Case – WCDA’s Office Update on Northwest Reno Shooting
The WCDA’s Office has updated the public on a recent murder prosecution in which the defendant was sentenced by the judge to a 40-year term despite the State arguing for a 20-life sentence based on the facts of the case and the defendant’s continuing criminal behavior.
Two days after murdering a Reno man Edgar Hernandez-Jacinto was apprehended trying to sell drugs while carrying a firearm. He was later charged with murder and ultimately convicted. To learn more about this case click here.
